Arizona Tourism

Tourism in Arizona is very  exciting. Arizona is perhaps one of the most well known southwestern states in America as it is home to the magnificence of the Grand Canyon. Its name is thought to be either from the Pima Indian word aleh-zon or ali-shonak which means “small spring” or “the place of the small spring” or from the Basqueword, “Arizona” which means “good oak tree”. Today it is known for beautiful golf greens, towering mountains that soar above red-walled canyons, magnificent sunrises and sunsets, unusual rock formations, spicy foods, and a diverse culture of people.

Best of Arizona

1. Grand Canyon
2. Sedona
3. AZ State Parks

From whitewater rafting to water parks, mining camps to museums, downhill skiing to deserts and spas to state parks, Arizona is known for many great places and activities. After all, it is the site of the Grand Canyon, a portion of the Mohave Desert and the Petrified Forest National Park. Of course, you will also find great locations such as shopping centers like the renowned Tlaquepaque Market in Sedona, ghost towns such as Goldfield, science and history museums like the Arizona Science Center or the Heard Museum and a plethora of art galleries like the Tucson Museum of Art and History. No matter where you roam there is always something to be discovered in Arizona. Come see what Arizona is all about!
